Privacy Notice (KVKK)

This text is a draft; it should not be published until it has been reviewed and approved by Fzt. Ömer Atlı, with the clinic's real contact details and data-retention periods finalized. This text does not constitute legal advice. It is an English translation of our Turkish-language KVKK notice, provided for the convenience of English-speaking visitors; the Turkish version governs in case of any discrepancy, as our data processing is carried out under Turkish law.

Under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), personal data obtained through this website is processed, as described below, by Physiotherapist Ömer Atlı acting as the data controller.

Under KVKK Article 6, health data is classified as special category personal data and is subject to stricter protection requirements than general personal data. For this reason, we recommend not sharing detailed health information, diagnoses or test results through the contact/appointment form — such details are best shared only after your appointment, during an in-person assessment. Limited information voluntarily shared through the form (for example, a general statement such as "requesting an appointment for knee pain") is processed only for the preliminary review of your request and based on your explicit consent.

Your personal data is processed under KVKK Article 5 — data submitted via the contact form on the basis of your explicit consent, and server security logs on the basis of legitimate interest. Health-related data voluntarily shared through the form is processed under KVKK Article 6, based on your explicit consent.

6. Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to our hosting service providers and to legally authorized public institutions, if requested and to the extent permitted by law. Otherwise, it is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for marketing purposes.

7. Retention Period

Contact/appointment form records and server access logs are retained only as long as necessary for the purpose of processing, taking into account any minimum periods set by applicable law; they are deleted, destroyed or anonymized thereafter. If an actual physiotherapy client relationship is established, file data is retained for the periods required under applicable healthcare regulations.

8. Your Rights (KVKK Art. 11)

By applying to the data controller, you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information about it if so; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically or abroad; request correction if processed incompletely or incorrectly; request its deletion or destruction under the conditions set out in applicable law; request that any correction/deletion be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred; object to a result arising against you from analysis of your data solely through automated systems; and request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.
